Kim Kardashian famously said she is still addicted to her BlackBerry. After her announcement a few weeks ago, some have speculated BlackBerry might bring her on as a spokeswoman. BlackBerry CEO John Chen squashed those rumors big time.
Speaking at the APEC CEO summit in China, Chen said he is not interested in Kardashian.
Although a high profile celebrity might help the BlackBerry brand with consumers, BlackBerry is moving its focus to enterprise anyway. At this point, they need to spend their money on new technologies instead of fancy advertising.
Chen isn't ruling out the consumer market in the future however.

"I'm not into bringing celebrities on board," Chen said. "It's not that it's a waste of money but a question of where you should spend the money today."

Chen isn't ruling out the consumer market in the future however.
"I say, 'Never say never,'" Chen said. "You might see us come back strong in the consumer side but a few things have to happen first. We have to make sure the base business is solid."
